“What good is money in the hands of a fool since he has no desire to get wisdom?”

Explaining The Solomonic Proverb:

From the interpretation that I have, Solomon is telling us here that, it’s not enough to accumulate financial resources nor to give any financial resource to any man when the person is not trained enough-whether man or woman. Otherwise, those hard-earned resources could be wasted. (Listen, it takes a lot of energy, money and time to acquire these financial resources (money), as well as any other resources we primarily use.

Do not give any financial resource (or any other resource) to one, who is not educated in the said field or an expert in that field.

He may even be an expert in one other field, but not in another which you’re in need of; that means that, he or she is a fool in this first regard, but considered ‘wise’ in another area. This is why we take our children to school to acquire the necessary ‘‘wisdom,’’ even before employing them into our business and property fields, or they being employed by others in both their business and property fields, lest they destroy everything we own in all our lifetime with their foolish hearts.

It is a wise thing to do, not to give your property to a fool!

Solomon said it all.

My son, keep my words
    and store up my commands within you.
² Keep my commands and you will live;
    guard my teachings as the apple of your eye.
³ Bind them on your fingers;
    write them on the tablet of your heart.
⁴ Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,”
    and to insight, “You are my relative.”
⁵ They will keep you from the adulterous woman,
    from the wayward woman with her seductive words.

⁶ At the window of my house
    I looked down through the lattice.
⁷ I saw among the simple,
    I noticed among the young men,
    a youth who had no sense.
⁸ He was going down the street near her corner,
    walking along in the direction of her house
⁹ at twilight, as the day was fading,
    as the dark of night set in.

¹⁰ Then out came a woman to meet him,
    dressed like a prostitute and with crafty intent.
¹¹ (She is unruly and defiant,
    her feet never stay at home;
¹² now in the street, now in the squares,
    at every corner she lurks.)
¹³ She took hold of him and kissed him
    and with a brazen face she said:

¹⁴ “Today I fulfilled my vows,
    and I have food from my fellowship offering at home.
¹⁵ So I came out to meet you;
    I looked for you and have found you!
¹⁶ I have covered my bed
    with colored linens from Egypt.
¹⁷ I have perfumed my bed
    with myrrh, aloes and cinnamon.
¹⁸ Come, let’s drink deeply of love till morning;
    let’s enjoy ourselves with love!
¹⁹ My husband is not at home;
    he has gone on a long journey.
²⁰ He took his purse filled with money
    and will not be home till full moon.”

²¹ With persuasive words she led him astray;
    she seduced him with her smooth talk.
²² All at once he followed her
    like an ox going to the slaughter,
like a deer^[a] stepping into a noose^[b]
23     till an arrow pierces his liver,
like a bird darting into a snare,
    little knowing it will cost him his life.

²⁴ Now then, my sons, listen to me;
    pay attention to what I say.
²⁵ Do not let your heart turn to her ways
    or stray into her paths.
²⁶ Many are the victims she has brought down;
    her slain are a mighty throng.
²⁷ Her house is a highway to the grave,
    leading down to the chambers of death.

Explaining This Solomonic Proverb:

Often times, you hear true stories of young men getting themselves involved in a relationship with a married woman. Even though King Solomon was referring to one gender, the same applies to the other gender as well.

This is so common in our time, where both young men and women are getting themselves in sexual affairs with married people. This is first an abomination in the eyes of God, whereas it has other serious consequences to it which these ignorant souls take for granted.

Like what the Lord told me, ‘‘regarding the spiritual consequence, you’re truly a candidate of Hell, in which you’ll be beaten with many-many blows,’’ for the Lord had said that whatever He had put together, let no other man put asunder. This is an offence in God’s courtroom.

Now, as you can see no matter how much ‘sexual pleasure’ or ‘financial assistance’ you get from it, will not be worth the consequences.

Even those married men or women who get the youth involved with this, are

1. Endangering the lives and promised beautiful futures of these youthful ones.
2. Endangering the welfare of the stability and future of their marriages, as they are unfaithful, having promised God and eye-witnesses to be clinged sexually or emotionally to that one spouse, whom they made promise to, on that fateful day of a respected holy matrimonial ceremony, being conducted in the eyes of all.
3. This will eventually jeopardize the future of their children. Some of these issues could arise in the areas of health, financial issues, as well as spiritual issues, as you can understand. (What wisdom is there in destroying your life, and being led as a lamb to the slaughter, to destroy somebody’s beautiful home.

In short, this is how we destroy our covenants with God, the spouses who gave their lives to us, as well as the respected societies we made promise to.

It’s not worth putting yourself into this trial at all, which can destroy your whole family (which is earned establishment), destroy your name as a youth, with a promised future from God, which can possibly render you, eternal damnation!

Tell me-it’s not worth it.
